Urban transports

Ever since the late 19th century and the construction of the Paris Metro, ETF-Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires has played a key role in the development of urban transport networks in France and abroad.
In so doing it has built up an extensive list of references in both steel-wheeled and rubber-tyre metro systems, making it an acknowledged leader in the world of urban transport.

Metro systems

Since the building of the Paris Metro in 1898, the history of the company has been intimately bound up with the history of underground railway systems in capital cities the world over.

The reputation of ETF-Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires in the field of infrastructure for steel-wheel metro lines has long reached beyond the borders of France. The metros of Caracas and Cairo bear witness to that. These cities have since voiced renewed confidence in the firm via a series of line extensions now underway.

Light rail system and tramways

Total mastery of tramway structures
Since the revival of the tramway, ETF-Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires has been involved in practically every tramway project in France, some twenty in all. The company has used its long experience of laying tramlines in urban settings to refine its methods and overcome constraints such as the scheduling of works and crossroads layout.

Local residents’ peace and quiet is a key priority for engineers and project managers at ETF-Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires. They use their know-how and rigorous work methods to minimise the inconvenience inherent in this type of construction project.
